I have a 350 tpi that is having trouble starting... I can spray starting fluid in the tpi and it will start fine and run fine. I will continue starting fine till it sits for a while (overnight), then it has trouble starting again.

Sounds like a fuel pump relay. DO our cars have one? If you turn your key just to on you should hear the fuel pump kick on for a few seconds then shut off to presurize the fuel rail. If it doesn't you might have a bad relay. Will still start but takes a lot of cranking before it does. See quite a bit of chevys with this problem.

do fuel pressure test. when running if it is in range remove the vaccum line from the pressure regulator. does it increase fuel pressure? if so regulator is good. if not in range suspect the pump. even though it runs whith a carb clean shot it may weak and not be able to keep its prime on its own.
