Electric system dies; suddenly reappears-?

My '95 Z28 gets put away for the winter, but I try to start it every few weeks and move it up and down the driveway. Twice now, I've started it without incident, but then when I shut it off I hear a faint click (sounds like a relay, perhaps under the hood), and then all electricity is gone. No radio, no lights, no door chime, no starter ... dead as a doornail. It's just as if someone has disconnected the battery cable. In both cases, the power just as suddenly and mysteriously reappeared within an hour or less. It's almost like there is a thermal circuit breaker or some such thing tripping off, then resetting. And as I said, it does not happen every time ... only rarely. Any thoughts, experience, ideas, suggestions? Many thanks.

Could be as simple as a loose battery cable.
