Post What RPM is the Scat cast crank good upto?

I'm shifting at 6900rpm.

I have a cast Scat crank with a fluidamper.

Should I worry?

Which is the bigger issue for such a question, rpm or power level?

it says 8000 rpm, but i'd be worried about hp levels more them rpm. well since your not using any power adders you should be fine. i'd worry around 700 hp but i've heard stories of scat cranks going out with much less then that.

FWIW, I was told by Scat that their cast steel 9000 series cranks are very popular in the circle track cars where they spin them to 8000 rpm.

Well I have a 700R4 so I have to manually shift it otherwise it shifts at 5200rpm.

I shift at 6500 but the tranny holds it to 6900rpm.
