Will these centerlines fit?

I have a set of scorpions for out back with 295-50-R16 tires that I purchased from a freind. I can't seem to find the proper backspacing from centerline in either a 16" or 17" tires for our cars. Anybody know if these wheels can fit? I did a search, but it turned up nothing about these.

Anyone know? Anyone use centerlines? This is for a 1994 Z28. Thanks!

Are you sure these won't fit?

__6807 507 16 x 8 5-1/2" BS 5 x 4-1/2, 4-3/4"

I think the backspacing is wrong, but I am not sure. I don't want them to stick out.

Thanks!

If the bolt pattern is 5 x 4-3/4, they will bolt on. If the bolt patterns is 5 X 4-1/2 they will not. If the wheel has a "dual pattern" drilling, it will bolt on.

As far as backspace, 5.5" is "so-so". That will move the outside edge of the wheel/tire about 1-1/8" further toward the outside of the car/fender than the stock 16x8 wheel. In the back, its going to be close to the edge of the fender opening. In the front, its going to look awful close to the edge of the fender opening.... may even stick out a fraction of an inch beyond.

Where you get into even more trouble is the 295/50-16 tire. It is 2" larger in diameter than the stock wheel. That means it raises your car 1" higher off the road, and the tire sticks up 1" more into the wheel wells.... they are going to rub on the fender edges in the front, and possibly rub in the back as well. Your speedo error will be 7.7% (will read 65mph at a true 70mph, unless you correct it in the PCM), and your rear gears will feel like you swapped in lower numerical gears.... sort of the equivalent of going from 3.42's to 3.23's.
