It really depends on your offset and how much you are willing to "clearance" the wheel well area. I made a post in this forum about my 17x11 Fikse FM5s that I have 335-35-zr17 tires on.

Are you sure you don't mean 335/35-17? A 335/40-17 would be 27.5" diameter, barely fit in the fender opening, jack the back end of the car up 1" and reduce your effective rear axle ratio by 7%. And Tire Rack doesn't list that size.

Try a "search". There was a guy with the screen name "kmook" who ran the 335/35-17's on a 4th Gen. I suspect others have as well.
