what is the outside-to-outside tire width of a 94 z?

I think you are asking for the circumference of the tire.... the distance around the outside of the tire.... the length of a string wrapped around the outside of the tire tread.
To get the circumference of the tire, multiply the diameter by "pi" (3.146)
Stock tires on a 94 V8 model are either:
235/55-16 = 26.17" diameter = 82.24" circumference
245/50-16 = 25.65" diameter = 80.57" circumference
Those are "thoeretical" dimensions, calculated from the tire size. Each manufacturer's specific tire model may be slightly different. You have to look up the actual dimensions for a specific tire on the manufacturer's website, or on a site like Tire Rack.
275/40-17 = 25.66" diameter = 80.62" circumference
315/35-17 = 25.68" diameter = 80.68" circumference
If you are actually looking for the WIDTH of the tire, the first number in the tire size (e.g. - 275) is the section width of the tire, or the width at the widest point, in mm. To get the width in inches, divide mm/25.4 (e.g. 275mm = 10.83")
