What does it take to put a Centerline Telstar 10.5" wide wheels in the back of a 96Z?

I have an LT1 camaro so the brakes are a little bit smaller than the LS1's....I already bought (2) 15 x 4 Centerline Telstars and (2) 15 x 8 Centerline Telstars.

What I want to do is for street driving, put the 8" wide wheels in the front and have 10.5" in the back.....and when I get to the track, put on the 4" wide front tires and keep on the 10.5" in the rear.

So, what does it take to put the 10.5" wheels on the back? Any modification?? What size tires can i put in the back without having to dent in any fender walls or anything like that.

Thanks.

will the 10.5" rims fit right on the back with no problems? What size tire can you fit in there without any rubbing?

It depends on the "backspace". I'd say with a 10.5" wheel, you would need a 7.5 - 7.75" backspace. The 7.5" would possibly be a shade outside the fender. The 7.75" will be very tight on the inner fender/body, depending on what tires you run.

I ran 28x11.5 QTP's on 15x10 Welds with 7.5" BS. No "inner fender" clearance problems, but my fenders had already been hammered for 17x11 ZR1/GS's with 315 BFG drag radials. When trap speeds go over 125MPH, the clearance to the edges of the fender opening become a problem due to tire growth.

When I went to a 28x10.5-15W ET Drag, it took another round of hammering, and I had to take almost 1.5" off the edge of the bumper cover.

This is where the ET Drags/15x10 7.5" BS sits under the edge of the fender:

You can also see how they fit in the fender in the "Trailer Queen...." pic in the signature.
