Vette wheel dilemma...

Ok so I bought a new hood at the end of last season with custom paint and next on my list of things to do was to get a new set of wheels. I was hesitating between different vette replicas from OE concepts, I was just wondering which set you guys think would look best on the car. I am biased towards the black with polished lip theme but if you have other suggestons then I am open to them. Also I think that a deep dish wheel would really set the car off but that's just me.

Here are some choices I had in mind:

Here we have the classic c5 Z06's

And then there's another variation of that wheel, I think it might be a C6 wheel?? Anyways they look sort of like z06's but the spokes are closer together. I would get them without the screws on the wheel, I think those make the wheel look cheap but then again I'd have to see a set on a car to make up my mind:

They look pretty sick imo and bonus points for the deep dish.

And another choice would be the deep dish ZR1's:

Not bad.

Also, there is a wheel I remember last season everyone was going bonkers for it but OE WHeels doesn't seem to carry it anymore... It looked like the Y2k vette wheels but the spokes were a bit thicker and it was also a deep dish design... If anyone has pics or knows where to get it that would be appreciated, I can't seem to find it on ebay anymore.

BTW The pics of my car are in my cardomain but I'll post them again for the lazy guys:

I like the look of the welds but I'll be saving the MT's/skinnies for the track...

Anyways thanks in advance for the help guys and if you have any other models that you think would look nice but I haven't mentioned then feel free to post pics or links

My comments probably aren't going to help, but if I ever get wheels, I think solid black might look good on my car. It's quasar blue, or whatever they called it, with a black hard top and limo tint on the windows.

I'm really leaning towards those wheels in the 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 combo, but without the rivets. I saw pics of a car on LS1tech with them and hey were sick.

If you can actually find those without rivets please let me know, I am looking for the Gun Metal version or any version I guess without rivets and the only thing OE Wheels has is the rivets. Always with the rivets.

And to contribute I would indeed have to say those. Maybe the original version as I think the closer spoke design flows with the later Camaro front end a little more.

Ok so I just got off the phone with shawn at OE Wheels and he said they do offer that model without the rivets even though it's not listed on ebay or their website. Only difference is th outer lip is machined instead of being polished but he told me it looks almost the same...

All you have to do is ask for that specific wheel without the rivets he'll get you the right wheel. I'll be placing my order this week.

btw Anybody know where is the best place to order nitto's online?

I'm having second thoughts now... maybe gunmetal would look better on a white car?? Then again I have the whole black/white theme going... What do you guys think? Would some plain gunmetal zr1's look better? I'm having a hard time visualizing what wheel would look good on my car.

I like the black zr1's. I almost bought a set 2 years ago for my 96 ss (black). I had them on the car and changed my mind. I did not have the money to throw around. BAD MOVE! I loved those wheels. I like them cause they are subtle and not to flashy buy everyone knows they are different. As far as Black on white, I used to have white rims on a black car and it looked fine. And I have seen black on white camaros before, it looks good

I just ordered the wheels yesterday. I ended up going with the Deep dish ZR1's, black with polished lip in the 17x9.5 17x11 combo. Can't wait to get these on

Looks great. I'm tempted to swap out my "old fashioned" shallow-dish ZR1's for a set of those.
