I voted for the TTII's I can't stand them. But I think a C5ZO6 black rim with a chrome lip is an awesome choice.

 

I like black wheels the best on either black or silver camaros, especially the ZO6's with the polished lip. I think the TTII look better on older camaros. But i would take any of them instead of my stock 16's.

 

Why is a wheel "ugly" just because someone thinks it is "overused"

Very narrow-minded. People strike a balance between what they want and what they can afford. Not everyone can have Chip Foose design a set of custom wheels. Does this make their car ugly?

For my taste on my car i hate chrome or polished wheel but would not think that they are ugly.I would not also tell someone that there wheel suck just because they do not suit my taste...

Im against the grain here because i trully like black wheels(all black one) but again its a question of personnal taste.I got standard all black zr1 on my silver bird like a lot of people.They really look good without being to flashy.They are also cheap to buy.

 

I made it a point to not go the conventional way when I bought my wheels. I have yet to see another F-body with Budnik Cobalts on it and thats just the way I like it.

 

I wouldn't neccisarily say just because a wheel is overused, it is ugly (as I really like SS wheels even though they are used often). Thats why the poll was for ugliest wheel OR most overdone. Personally I think black wheels are ugly. Not just because they are overdone, but I just never liked black wheels on anything.

It does happen to happen that some wheels I personally find ugly, I also happen to find ovedone as well. To each his own though, and everyone has their own opinion.

 

before i even joined this site i had planned on putting black wheels on my black car. i also looked around to figure out what i liked. I found what looked good to me and I got em' and put em' on and was happy. now i see a lot of people have my same wheels and it doesn't make them look any worse or better it was still my choice and it wasn't influenced by the popularity of the wheels. just my personal taste in what i want the car to look like.

if you put a wheel on a car just because it will be the only car with those wheels i never said it looks bad but if that is your primary motive for choosing a wheel... whatever floats yer boat.

personally i really dislike the fake beadlock on cars or any wheel for that matter.

also a popular wheel is popular for a reason they look freaking awesome... who doesn't want to be awesome?

 

I will agree with alot of the people here, if the wheel looks good, people are gunna buy it, even if its overdone.

 

Boyd Smothies and TTII's are over done.. Not ugly, just overused.. Not very original. But it's up to the owner's discretion. My buddy had TTII's on his LT1 Black TA.. Looked secksee as all h3ll.. He JUST sold it today.. .. I drove it on Sunday, and I got quite attached to that car. It sounded sweet too!!! TSP Rumbler, LT's and ORY!!

THe overused thing is why I went with the wheels I have.. Not a lot of people have them and They were the first set that just said "WOW" when I saw them. I had to have em.

 

I wanted TT II's, and found a car that already had them so I bought it. (well there were other reasons too...) If every single Camaro had them, I would still buy a set because I love how they look.

 

i think the early c5 wheels are DISGUSTING on any f-body. also, C4 vette wheels. i know i know, to each his own, but some people push it.

the other wheels out there are overused because they look incredible and they fit perfectly every time.

 

I really wish I didn't have ZR-1s on mine. Too popular. ZO6 wheels are just as bad.

The reason you see some wheels on every type of car all the time is because the wheels is SO nice that it looks good on any car.If a rim looks good on only certain cars and colored cars How good of a rim is it?
If you see TT II's on more cars than any other wheel it must mean that more people think that is the BEST wheel then.
I was going to get some chrome firehawk wheels for my T/A but I saw a camaro SS with TT II's and I went and ordered a set of them the next day.It does'nt bother me that I see alot of cars with my rims. I just figure theres alot of people out there with good taste. Thats all
If I had a 4th gen camaro I'd get the chrome SS wheels.
