(1) Where did you guys get your wheels and/or tires? I would like to get some c5 or y2k.
(2) I am getting some Kumho asx tires,but I see that some sites rate the speed rating as a W and some others as Z. Does that really matter??Thanks

 

My guess is try ebay or tirerack.

 

Y is 186 MPH
W is 168 MPH
Z is 149 MPH

Alot of times the Z will still appear in the tire description (275 40 ZR17). Even though it is a higher than Z rating. At one point the highest speed rating thought to ever to be needed was Z. That is why they have since come up with W and Y.

 

For wheels, you can check our supporting adverstisers. Both SLP and Thunder Racing sell the Vette wheels. As for tires, I've order from Tirerack or a local shop...whoever's cheaper. Sometimes local 2 man shops are good for wheel/tire packages. It's hard to beat Tirerack's price though, because they don't charge sales tax.
