TomZ wheels Question

Read FAQ about C6 18x11 wheels needing slight modification to fit over rear hub of 94-96 Z28's. Considering purchasing C6 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 from TomZ wheels. Will the 18x10.5 need to be modified to fit the rear hub? Will I also need spacers? Also does anyone know if Locking lug set is included with the wheel set?
Thanks in advance- Stan

The reason some wheels need a light sanding or grinding of the inner hub diameter, to fit over the rear axle hubs in the 93-late 96 F-Bodys is covered in the FAQ. Whether that applies to the specific wheels being sold by TomZ can only be answered by TomZ.

Whether the 18x10.5" wheels will fit correctly on your car, or whether you will need a spacer depends on the offset of the wheels, which you haven't told us.

From the sounds of it, the wheels are going to be shoved too far into the fender wells. I wouldn't suggest the use of spacers but people use them without issue as long as they aren't trying to correct a huge offset difference.

I purchased my 18" Chrome TT2's from Tom and he was a huge help calculating the proper offset for my wheels (18x8 front, 18x10 rear). The wheels came with new lugs, locks and valvestems btw. Honestly, just give them a call and speak to him. He does all the math for you.

The 18x10.5" with 58mm offset has close to an 8.0" backspace. Typically, that puts the wheel/tire in the same position as the ZR1/GS 17x11 50mm offset wheels (actually slightly deeper, the ZR1's are 7.93" BS) and may require the exact same remedies that are shown in the FAQ post about the 17x11's. The outer edge should not be as close to the fender lip though.

Thanks.

7" Backspacing on the rear which I think is somewhere around +38 or +40mm offset but I can't remember. My drivers side left rear tire is rubbing the fender lip when I hit good size bumps with someone else in the car so I'm gonna have them rolled to just take care of it.
