Adrenaline,

Which store did you go to, I'd like to pass the good word along to the manager.

Chris, I went to this store. I dealt mainly with a gentleman by the name of Bill. I'm pretty picky about who I allow to touch my car, and I will definitely go back to this store in the future, especially since I still need to do the front tires (when I can afford it). Good guys all around. They will likely remember me, I was the guy with the Chameleon Firebird on Friday that needed tires but could only afford the rears.

As for the 712's, I've got about 100 miles on 'em so far. They were a little harsh and noisy at first, but as they've broken in they have improved greatly. They are obviously a harder compound than my Yokohama A520's were, but overall grip is better than I anticipated. Of course, they are new, so that may change, but for now they work fine. I hope they stick this well and have good treadwear. My Yokes were sticky as hell, but were completely shagged after about 8,000 miles. Granted, that was about 80% track and 20% street mileage, so the abuse was definitely plentiful. These Kumhos will probably see the track once or twice in their life, so I don't mind sacrificing a bit of grip for tread life.
