Question Tire size question

I'm gettin new wheels/tires fairly soon. I'm pretty set on the ZR1 style, 17x9.5. I'm contemplating the 17x10 on the rear with 315s...anybody seen this? I'm not sure if the 315s in the rear would be "too" big. I think the 275s all the way around look good (much better than my current 16x8s), but thought the 315 would fill the rear wheel well better.

I want the tires wide enough to look pretty aggressive, but not tacky.

If you have any pictures...that would be a bonus.

Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Tire size question

If you do a search you will this has been discussed here eleventy billion times, including links to pics. You will get a lot of different opinions, but I think 315's are too wide. Others like them. I use 285's on the back and 275's on the front..

Re: Tire size question

I don't think anybody makes a ZR1 in 17x10. 17x11, yes.

Re: Tire size question

Further to what Rich suggested, there is a "Tire and Wheels" forum. This question gets asked and answered there several times each week. Right now you are on the "LT1 Engine Tech" forum.

Re: Tire size question

Yeah...I did the search, but couldn't find what I was looking for; oddly...I thought there would be more on the subject.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I'll probably just stick with the 17x9.5 all the way around with 275s.

In addition...yeah, I ment 17x11....the 17x10 was a typo...ooops.

agian, thanks.
