Tire size for 18's
Tire size for 18's
I'm considering getting 18" wheels and I saw in the FAQ what the proper tire size is to maintain the same overall height is for a 17" wheel. What is the right tire size to get for an 18x8" wheel so that I don't throw the speedometer off?

But basically it's either 245/40/18s or 275/35/18s
I've got 245s in the front and 275s out back. I went with 245s in the front, so I don't have any issues with rubbing or steering wander with lines and cracks. Not a huge difference in Sidewall Height, but if you look closely you can tell. Most folks have not had problems with 275s out front with rubbing, but some have complained about steering picking up lines and cracks
I think I will actually go with 275s when I have to replace the fronts, as it gives you the ability to rotate tires front to back

You can't put a 275/35-18 on an 8" wide wheel, at least not if you believe the recommended wheels widths, determined by the engineers who designed the tires. Needs at least a 9" wide wheel.

If your looking for proper 17s or 18s:
I got mine at OE Wheels on ebay
