tire pressure

probably a dumb question, but here goes anyway..

Getting a new set of 17" 275s (on Z06s).

Swapping over from stock salad shooters (16" 245s) on a 95 Z28.

What tire pressure should I set them at for a daily driver to get even wear etc..??

thx

Re: tire pressure

Use the tire pressure recommendation on the sticker on the door. I had good luck with the 275/40-17's in the 32-36psi range. Vary the pressure to see which pressure gives you the best combo of traction, resistance to wandering in road ruts, and cornering. Check the tread with a tread depth gauge periodically to make sure the wear is even across the full width of the tread.

Re: tire pressure

word.. thx..

I figured it'd be basically the same as the 245s, (I run 34-35 psi) and have been satisfied w/ the results.
