Is there a skinny rim that will fit over ZO6 brake conversion calipers?
Is there a skinny rim that will fit over ZO6 brake conversion calipers?
I have everything to do the ZO6 front brake conversion (Bob Bishop brackets). I decided that I am going to drag race my car more and was thinking about getting 15x4, 15x8 Telstars (if I keep the stock brakes). I know you need 17" + wheels to clear the caliper. Is there a 17" skinny rim out there that will clear the caliper/do they make anything like that? I would like install the ZO6 brakes, but if there isn't anything out there that will work they will go up for sale. I have Y2K chrome C5's for daily driving.
Another question, will 15x4's fit over an LS1 brake conversion?

I know my Borbet 17x9.5's wouldn't fit over them (I used Bishop's brakets too) because the spokes curved in toward the center of the wheel too much. You just need to find a 17" that basically has no "dish" to them, in other words so the spokes are way toward the outside of the wheel.
IF you decide you don't want the brackets, let me know, I can easily get rid of them for you.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Sold my auto-x car and had the brackets, but my other car will be more of a drag car. Think about the only thing you will be able to do is use like a CCW or simmiler drag wheel made for the Vettes. And that gets mucho $$$$$. I just sold my brackets and shipped them out yesterday. :*(

you can have wheel conveted at a wheel repair shop. you can take 17,18,19 and so on have them cut to 4.5 inches then run rear motor cycle tires. I have seen some vettes this way it lets you pic any wheel you want.
