Has anyone tried the summit or jegs new drag wheels on their 4th gen????
I was wondering about having to space the fronts cause i would like to put 15 x 8 all the way around. Any help would be great........thanx!

 

If its the same wheels I'm thinking of (JEG's also has their own wheels with the same design), they appear to be the old Pro-Star XP that Weld stopped making a year or so ago. If they are the XP's, I don't **think** you will have problems requiring a spacer in the front, because the design is quite a bit different than the "real" Pro-Stars. The XP's were also heavier than the real ones.

 

So do the same caliper grinding, spacing issues with Weld wheels still pertain to Summit and Jegs wheels? What about MT wheels?

 

Yes, same spacer and grinding issues. But you also have to narrow the rear end because they don't offer the backspacing needed for them to fit on the rear.

Check out my thread and you'll see how they look and fit when done right.

 

For the $$ it would cost to narrow the rear, or get a new more narrow rear you could just get some Weld's or Bogarts even.

 

Thats why I ordered my Moser 9", rims, and tires at the same time. I got everything just the way I needed it. Plus I was able to purchase the 9" narrowed without having to pay any extra for that. So then when you figure in the savings it adds up Even if you do have to pay to have a brand new Moser narrowed its only $50 more.

Plus I didn't have to wait a few weeks to get the Welds. Ordered on Monday the rims & tires arrived on Wednesday and the rear end arrived on Friday. Did the install on Saturday.

 

I'm gonna do the same thing whenever I get the $$. Where are you getting the parts from? How much for your rearend?
