spacers and rims
spacers and rims
i want 2002 crome z06 17inch/9.5 rims for my 91 z28, but in order to do that i need spacers.... if i got them will they make the wheels rub when i turn? and will they be strong enuff to handle hard driving?
Yes the wheels will probably rub when you have the wheel turned all the way each direction.
Do some searching around, theres a company that makes wheel spacer that actually bolt to the lug studs and the spacers have new studs on them. So you bolt the spacer on and then bolt the wheel to it...much safer than just throwing some shims betweent he rotor/drum and the wheel.

Probably best to post a question like this on the "Wheels and Tires" forum, since the "Engine" tech forums are for engine questions. There is a "sticky" on that forum showing a 3rd Gen with 18x8.5 F/19x10.0 R C6 wheels. These are "OEM" wheels, to they have the deep backspace. Not that it would helpp you too much with the C5 Z06 wheels.
If you are buying a C5 17x9.5" Z06 wheels, are they OEM or aftermarket? What is the offset on the wheels? That will determine the size adapters you need. Stock C5 Z06 17x9.5" wheels have a 54mm offset. That is perfect for a 4th Gen, but 1.5 - 2.0" too much backspace for a 3rd Gen.
I'll move your post to the Wheels and Tires forum.
