Give us a link to an ad that uses the term. I never heard it used before.

Re: Soft Outer Lip???

I saw this somewhere but anyway it means the valve stem will be located behind the spokes instead of on the lip like regular wheels

Here's the link
http://www.billetspecialties.com/ite...scid=19&pid=40

Why do they put the valve stem behind the spokes? Why don't they just put it in front like regular wheels? Is their some reason they put it behind the spokes?Sorry to be so complicated.Just kinda curious to know.
Thanks,
JE

Re: Soft Outer Lip???

Aesthetics.

It doesn't disturb the clean look of the lip.

Those wheels are GREAT fun to mount.

Re: Soft Outer Lip???

Cool, thanks for the help. One more question though. Is their a term for a wheel that the spokes go torward the center of the wheel making them look as if they were deeper.I noticed the wheels in the link kinda had that and I like the deeper look.
Thanks,
JE

Re: Soft Outer Lip???

Hmmm....maybe "concaved" is the proper term for last thing you mentioned?

Antera does that with some of their wheels, the air travels through one of the spokes into the tire.
