Shopping for Rims

I've browsed through websites, catalogs and even some wheel stores to see their inventory. I haven't found what I'm looking for so I'm going to give this a try. I want to put 275-315's on my car. I've read that some have trouble fitting 315's onto a camaro because of the fender and the wheel sticks out a little? Is that usually a problem? I have chrome rims on is now and I want to go to an alloy racing type, black mat finish with some chrome (maybe). Where can I go to find rims, how can I tell what thickness of tires they will hold and is there anyone in the middle TN, southern KY or northern AL area that knows of retail shop with a large inventory?

Exactly what year Camaro are you planning to put these wheels on? Without that info, its impossible to answer the questions accurately.

If its a 4th Gen, look at the FAQ, stickied at the top of the Wheels and Tires forum topic listing. There's a detailed post with info about putting 17x9.5" and 17x11.0" wheels on a 4th Gen. The photos show a Firebird, but the Camaro is not really any different. Typical tire sizes are 275/40-17 for the front and 315/35-17 for the back. Or are you after an 18" or larger wheel?

Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods. That way, every time you post, the "signature" will be at the bottom of the post, allowing people to help you without asking questions.

There's my signiture, I did alot in three years and don't remember the specs of everything, it dyno'd at 275rwhp which I think is too low for what all I did. I'm looking for wheels that'll hold thicker tires but don't know what I should look for, what'll fit and where to shop. I'd prefer looking at an inventory rather than looking at a low pixel photo of a rim.
