Replacement Tires for 2000 Camaro SS
Well... since its a "track" car, with a suspension built specifically for the track (front sway bar deleted, Spohn 1-5/16" solid chrome moly "race" rear sway bar, etc) its not really something I drive aggressively around corners...... That said, the KDW's have a very firm, solid feel, with good grip at the limited cornering loads I put on them. They do brake very well in the dry. Limited experience in the wet.
I've driven the combo of the KDW's and the DR's (when the DR's were brand new) in pouring rain, with deep puddles, and had no problem with them. As the DR's wear, wet weather driving isn't in the pictures.

(only two are street tires -- the other two are for racing).
Unfortunately the KD has been discontinued. I really wanted to try them. I am leaning towards the Khumo Ecsta XS. A friend of mine swore by the Khumo MX for lateral grip, and said the XS is a step up. I only drive the car a few thousand miles per year in the summer so I can live with a low treadwear rating. I agree with the 30 psi reccomendation. That is my standard inflation for my tires.
Well I got the Nitto NT555's installed today. If anyone is interested I can report back later.
I will tell you putting the jack and spare tire back into the hatch was physically the worst experience every. Who ever engineered the storage of these on this guy must of though I hope one one every has to use this and store it back.
frustrating.

Ventus is made by Hankook, and that's an entire line of tires. For your information to be useful, you'd have to specify which Ventus. There are four different models in the Ventus line that come in the standard SS size:
