Questions Before I Order???
I'm wrapping up my wheel search and I think i'm getting ready to order.I want to check on a few things before I order though.I will be ordering some Boyd C. wheels sizes 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear with a 7.75 backspace on the rear.Should I go with the 305/35 tire or the 315's on the rear? Also I recently installed a Moser 9",will the 9" cause any rubbing issues?
Another thing I was thinking about was that I currently have 17" rims and would like to step up to 18's" but I can't afford them.I may however be able to afford 18's" in the back and 17's" in the front, but it seems like I remember reading on here somewhere that it does'nt look good on the Camaro. What do you guys think?
I'd gladly appreciate any help on the questions above.I'm ready to get this order rolling.
Thanks,
JE

I've never seen a 305/35-17 tire.... who makes them?
7.75" backspace will give you a very aggressive look at the back, similar to the 17x11" TT-II's in this picture:

The ZR1/GS wheels have a 7.93" backspace, which puts the wheels less than 1/4" deeper into the wheel wells. The 7.75" would be more likely to rub on the fender lip, the 7.93" backspace would be more likely to rub on the inner fender. Maybe you'll get lucky and it won't rub at all.
The Moser 9-inch shouldn't change anything, as long it is exactly the same width as the stock 4th Gen F-body rear.

Re: Questions Before I Order???
Don't worry Chris i'm ordering through you guys.I just got off the phone with somebody over there and they called Boyd to get me a price on the 18x11's and those are definately out.Because of the complex engineering of making a 18x11 wheel it will cost me $1,154.Guess i'll stick with the 17's.
I don't know about the 305/35 tires,I told him I did'nt know what size sidewall (that is what the number is right)I needed and he said 305/35.
That aggressive look is what i'm after. If I roll my inner fender lip will that garantee that it will not rub or is their still a chance it could rub it?
If I do go with the 315's will I stand more of a chance of them rubbing or will it not make a difference?
Thank you guys for the replies?

Re: Questions Before I Order???
Alright,so does everyone agree that I can go with the 315/35-17 tire on a 11" wide rim without rubbing?I don't mind making the modifications as long as it will get rid of the rubbing.I was also wanting know what size backspace I need for the front 9.5" rims? They asked me what backspace I wanted and I did'nt know.I'd like to be able to tell them when I order.
Hopefully I can get these questions figured out today so I can order.
Thanks again,
JE
