Please Help Quick!!!

ok i just got on '01 SS with the ZR1's 17x9 fronts, 17x11 rears.

My question is, my brother has an '01 Z06 and wanted to know if his wheels will fit on my car? i didnt know if the offset will be different or not. He just has the original Z06 rims which i believe are 18x9 fronts, and18x10.5 rears.

Please let me know a.s.a.p. because i will be doing the swap at 3pm today once i get off work!!!! thanks for any help

OEM Z06 wheels (C5) are:

Front: 17 x 9.5 54mm offset (fit with no problem)
Rear: 18 x 10.5" 58mm offset (will be slightly tighter against the inside fender liner than the 17 x 11 50mm ZR1 wheels)

The correct ZR1's for a 4th Gen are:

Front: 17 x 9.5" 56mm
Rear: 17 x 11.0" 50mm

well my SS has a Eibach 2" lowering kit on it. Will it rub a lot on the inside fender?

also if i put his Z06 wheels on my car, will the ZR1's fit on his Z06?

i wouldnt do the 17 x 11 in the rear cause you could have a slight problem. I have those on my 95 T/A and are trying to get rid of them because the 17 x 11 rim is so wide it catches on your jounce bumpers and almost ripped mine off so when you jack up the back of the car (not the rearend!) your wheel will catch on the jounce and not hang freely you'll know this is true on your car if you put the 17x 11's on the back, jack the frame up and the back tires do not spin freely. plus your rim could be chewed up and your inner fender could scrape on your tire as well on the road. then again they could fit perfectly with no prob some cars are different i just told you what could happen. good luck and hope this helped.

If you simply look at the FAQ, stickied at the top of the Wheels and Tires topic page, there is a photo showing what you need to do to cut the edge off the jounce bumper bracket, and completely eliminate the problem you described. With minor mods on some cars, and none at all on others, you will not have any problems running the correct 17x11's on the rear of a 4th Gen.

i ran 17x11 on my '94 Z28 and 17x11 on my '01 SS right now with no problems.

My question though will my brothers Z06 rims rims fit on my camaro without any major fitment problems?

Injuneer, you said the fronts will fit fine, but will the rears fit right? will it look funny or stick out some, or sit in too much?

I explained it as clearly as I possibly can... they will sit slightly deeper in the wheel wells (probably about 1/20") than the 17 x 11 ZR1 wheel/tire combo. There are pictures of the ZR1 combo in the FAQ. You decide if they look funny or stick out some or sit in too much. I can only tell you that the difference in the front will be 2mm (.08") toward the outside, compared to the ZR1's, and in the rear will be less than 2mm (0.05") deeper in the wheel well than the ZR1's. I doubt you can visually tell the differnce between them. But pushing the rear wheels even that small amount deeper into the wheel well will only make it a tighter fit.

To find "stickies"..... click on "Wheels and Tires" in the "Forum Jump" box. That will give you the complete list of posts/topics on the Wheels and Tires forum. At the top of that list, highlighted in RED letters with the word STICKY on it, you will find:

Sticky: Wheel/Tire FAQ ( 1 2)
