new tires but which ones?
new tires but which ones?
I am looking into buying tires -275/40ZR17
I want dry traction most, handleing second, tread wear third. I am looking for a tire that I can agressively drive without wheel spin going into second.
I looked into BFG KDW, Nitto 555R, GoodYear GS-3
I also looked into DR in MT/Nitto/BFG and was told they don't hook on the street.

Falken RT-615, Kumho MX, Nitto 555RII
The first 2 are street tires with good track manners; the third is more of a track tire.
I have used the BFG KD and the RT-615. I like the 615 better because it grips better when cold.
The regular 555R is a drag radial. It isn't designed for your #2 goal.

I just bought BFG G Force Sports for $109 apiece on sale. Unfortunately the price has went back up to $141 now. They are 275/40zr/17's. They have a UTQG rating of 340 and have high ratings for traction
(AA) and ride comfort. I got them mounted on some new ASA rims but won't be able to drive on them until springtime. They are summer tires only.
