Offset and spacer ?

I tried the search, but I couldnt find anything exact. Basically will a 17x11" rim with a 68.5 offset fit on the rear of a 1997 Camaro? If so what size spacer do I need? Im ready to buy these rims, but want to make sure they will work. Any help is appreciated.

Cant give you the specifics, but im assuming that you are saying the 17x11 rim has a +68.5mm offset? If so, then yes, it should fit, but youll need a decent sized spacer and a BFH.

Re: Offset and spacer ?

That's an 8.66" backspace, meaning its sitting in almost 3/4" farther than the correct 50mm offset wheels. You would need an 18.5mm (0.73") spacer - and not a "sandwich" type. A bolt-on spacer.

Where did you find a 68.5mm offset 17x11 ZR1 wheel? I've seen 36.5mm and 50mm, but never a 68.5mm offset.

Thanks for all the help guys. Its actually a Fikse FM5 which he said was the correct offset for a C5. Its a good price, but do you think it should be done?

Re: Offset and spacer ?

If a real C4 Grand Sport uses a 50mm offset (7.93" BS) - and these wheels are used routinely on a 4th Gen F-Body, its hard to understand why you are buying wheels that fit a C5, and then having to spend another big chunk of $$$$$$ to get high quality spacers and all the headaches that go with them.

But if they are used, and they are cheap, maybe it makes sense.
