No traction

I am not getting any traction out of my car with my Yokohama tires. I am thinking of running dr's in the rear; what is the largest size I can run on my 17x9.5in zo6 rims? I tried installing new LCA's and relocation brackets, but it is like I am on ice when I go wot. Also, how many miles will I get out of the dr's on the street. I only drive the car maybe 4k each year so I am thinking they should last.

You can fit a 275/40-17 or a 285/40-17. If you are looking at drag radials, many people seem to find the Nitto 315/35-17's will fit on 9.5" wide wheels, even though Nitto does not recommend it.

Are you talking about traction on the street, traction on a prepared track, or both? If you are talking about the street.... what are the ambient temperatures right now? Cold asphalt and cold rubber will result in exactly what you are experiencing.

I am talking about street traction; have not had the chance to take it to the track after my dyno tune. The car will slide more when it is cold out, but it has a lot of spin even when the tires and asphalt are hot. I was thinking of running the nitto 315's, but I was not sure they would fit.
