New Wheels...Injuneer need your input! :)

I'm just about to finalize my purchase of some new TTII's from tomzwheels. I'm going with 17x9.5 and 17x11, however I'm a bit undecided as in maybe I should just go 17x9.5 on all 4 to save a little weight...if it really even matter's that is...

I checked to see in all the stickied FAQ's about a couple of things:

How much TTII's weight per 17x9.5 and 17x11 wheel?
Will these monstrous 11'' wide wheels weaken my stock 10 bolt quicker?
Would I be safe running a 285 or 295 on my 11'' wheels or do I need to just run a 305 or 315?

And for some reason couldn't find anything...I've heard of people running 275/40/17 up front and 315/35/17 in the rear on this setup...Why not run a 295/40... I'm confused.

I believe I'm either going with Nitto's or BFG for the rear and then a normal street tire of the same brand in the fronts.

Thanks for anyone's help. I need to get this cleared up, before I shell out the dough

How much TTII's weight per 17x9.5 and 17x11 wheel? - Don't know. I doubt they are significantly different than the ZR1 wheels in that size. Ask American Racing if you need the info.

Will these monstrous 11'' wide wheels weaken my stock 10 bolt quicker? - The added dimensions/weight will not hurt anything, but the added traction might. An M6 with really sticky tires puts a lot of strain on the rear, IF you do high RPM clutch dumps, etc.

Would I be safe running a 285 or 295 on my 11'' wheels or do I need to just run a 305 or 315? - the only 17" sizes available in street tires are 275/40-17, 285/40-17 and 315/35-17. Most manufacturers will accept a 285/40 on an 11.0" wide wheel. It may look a little "stretched" since a 285 sidewall is only 11.2" wide and an 11.0" wide wheel will actually be about 12" wide overall. It would be "safe" if its within the tire manufacturer's recommended wheel width. Each manufacturer sets his own standards.

And for some reason couldn't find anything...I've heard of people running 275/40/17 up front and 315/35/17 in the rear on this setup...Why not run a 315/40... I'm confused. - Both a 275/40-17 and a 315/35-17 match the stock tire diameter (QLC Z-rated option) of 25.65". A 315/40-17, if anyone made one (not aware of any) would be almost 27" diameter, screwing up your speedo by 5%, reducing the effective numerical value of your rear axle ratio by 5%, raising the rear of your car almost 3/4" over stock.

Thanks for your time and input, you are a credit to this forum Injuneer. I really had myself all messed up and confused. I meant a 285/40/17 not a 315/40/17 lol
I've tried contacting AR directly a couple of times, and they never got back to me. I asked tomzwheels as well, and the lady helping me didn't know (imagine that?)

I'm going to run this setup, hopefully with some nitto's or BFG KDWII. I'm still not sure whether to run 17x9.5 on all 4, but I could pick up 2 more 17x9.5 later I guess.
