MTet street?

on my way home from the track (about a 20 mile drive) i must have punctured my passenger MT et street tire with somekind of road debri. now it has a minor hole(small enough where you can barely tell) and it looses air, could i just take it to a tire shop and have them patch it up just like they would any other tire or how could i fix this.

any help is appreciated
thanks
michael

If done right, I believe you will be ok. Plug and patch? Someone that has more experience than myself will probably help you out.

Given the very thin tread on the tire to begin with, its not likely a plug will be reliable. And with the abuse a drag tire gets, I'd question whether an interior patch would hold. Best thing to do would be to install tubes.

Any tire shop should sell "inner tubes". JEG's and Summit sell tubes for slicks, but they are probably way more expensive than what you need, and include metal valve stems, that require a large hole in the rim.
