Re: members with telstars (15x8 5bs)

There's a local guy with a '95 Z28 on 15x8 (rear) Telstars, and he said he didn't have to grind anything.

Re: members with telstars (15x8 5bs)

According to the articles in GMHP magazine regarding the '94 Grapes of Wrath Project car, the Telstars were a bolt-on w/o caliper grinding, front or rear. I purchased the exact set up for my '94 w/ oem calipers and have to use a spacer to prevent grinding the calipers on the front, backs fit fine! So, it must just depend on the car. I am disappointed that I have to use a front spacer because now I have to change wheel studs to meet NHRA/IHRA safety specs. My car is lowered via Eibach springs, but there is no fender rub in the back and I am running the same size wheel as you described. hope this helps!

PLEASE post on the correct forum. "wheels" questions do not belong on LT1/LT4 Engine Tech. Moving to "Wheels and Tires".....

You shouldn't have any problems rubbing. I'm cutting 1.5s on stock suspension with 28" tires without any rub.

I just finished reading over that same article.. I thought that was pretty interesting becasue i don't want to grind any of my calipers to get wheels to fit! Now my question is if it fits LT1 brakes will it fit LS1's? i have swapped my entire brake system from my 97 to a 00.

Re: members with telstars (15x8 5bs)

I didn't have to do any grinding when I put Telstars on my 94.....until I put new pads/rotors on the front. I'm guessing that most who haven't had to grind might run into this problem later on.

Pics are in the sig

Running 15x4/15x8 Telstars. No grinding whatsoever. I have heard too that it takes a lot of grinding to make them fit on an LS1.
