Looking to get 17x11 Ws6 custom wheels
Looking to get 17x11 Ws6 custom wheels
I'm looking for a place that sells a widened 17x11 Ws6 wheel. I've seen a place on the internet before but don't remember the name of the place.

Go to ws6.com and look at his writeup on having his stock wheels widened to 17x11. He lists the info on the shop that did the work, in Monrovia, CA. A friend of mine had some work done by the same shop and it was excellent quality.

The place is called Eric Vaughn's Machine. I had mine done by him a few years ago and his work is excellent. I could't be happier with my wheels.

Re: Looking to get 17x11 Ws6 custom wheels
I've been looking for chrome 10 spokes in 17x11 since i saw the 5 spoke 17x11s. How safe is this? Are the welds really strong enough for hard driving? Or is this the same way that 3 piece wheels are put together? I've never seen 17x11 10 spokes......I'd love to have the 1st set in my area. What was the silicone for, kinda through up a red flag. How long does it take to get them done?

I would love to have my Enkei Win's widened from 9.5" to 10.5" or 11". But since they don't make them any more, I am afraid that they will get screwed up and then I would really be screwed. Mine are like brand new and never even been in the rain, so I am paranoid.

The set I saw done by Vaughn was actually a stock 17x9 SS wheel that had been narrowed to about 6" wide, used on the front for the "skinny" look. They were run on a very heavy 30th SS Convertible, doing wheelstands and running low 9's. On at least one occasion the car was dropped from a big wheelstand hard enough for the wheel to cut completely through the up-level Pirelli radial that was on the wheel. The tire was a total loss, the wheel was unscathed (the car went into the side wall
). Somewhere I have pictures of the wheels, showing the extemely intensive weld pattern. I'll see if I can find the pics. After seeing them, I wouldn't hesitate to run a wheel that Vaughn had done.
