Just looking for opinion on wheels(3rdgen)

or

I'm more worried about width as the bolt spacing should be fine from what I hope I understand.

Both those wheels indicate they have a 5 x 120mm bolt circle. The 3rd and 4th Gens require a 5 x 4.75" (120.65mm) bolt circle.
Using the incorrect bolt circle with that small difference is open to debate. Some claim they run 5 x 120mm with no problems. Others report problems with the lugs coming loose, and broken studs. Sort of up to you if you want to take a chance.
You also need to find out the "offset" on the wheels. Your 3rd Gen may requires different offsets on the front (0mm - 82-92) and rear (16mm - 89-92) stock 16x8 wheels. The actual offset your require will depend on the width of the wheels. You need to identify the year of the car.
The wheels you linked are also two different widths. One is 17x7", and would be a bit on the narrow side. I wouldn't run anything less than an 8" wide wheel. The other is 17x8", which is better.
Appearance wise, I like the top one best, but you need to understand the limitations of the bolt circle, and the requirement to know the offset.

so, nobody makes anything for 3rd/4thgens? wtf was GM thinking putting a a hard to find pattern on them? i guess i could look into an adaptor piece then can't i? and at worst, have a set made custom, $$$....
Wheels are the easiest and the hardest thing to change, man. That site had nothing listed for my year of 3rdgen. sniff...
5 x 4.75" ima drill that into my brain.

You can use 4th Gen wheels with a 1.5" to a 2.0" spacer/adapter. Not sure why you feel there are no wheels made for the 3rd and 4th Gens.... they are out there. Many American cars used a 4.75" bolt circle - not "hard to find". The 120mm bolt circle is a BMW diameter, and several other imports, including the Holden, sold for a few years by Pontiac as the GTO... and the 5th Gen Camaro.
Here's the best source of info for 3rd Gen wheels, and adapters:

Here's what I found on the same website in a 5 x 120.65 bolt pattern:

top link doesnt work, and im trying to replicate the style of wheels that would have come on a 3rd gen, ie, edgy/straightedged. similar to the idea of the body work.
not into "generic muscle car" wheels. thanks anyway mate.
