installing new studs

Did some searching, and I think I got the idea, but have a question.

After putting the new stud in through the back, you slide a few washers on the stud, then put a stock lug on the threads but backwards. Now here is my question...

How do you turn the lug if its backwards? The back of the lug (now facing outwards) has that sort of bowl shape to it, so how do you turn it?

Get a generic 12mm conical lug at an auto parts store, one that doesn't have the expanded seat area that some of the stock lugs have. Don't use a "good" lug for this.
