was not sure where this should get posted, hope i didnt put it in the wrong place...
i have 17x11's in the rear with the stock panhard bar , what would happen if i kept driving with these with out getting the adjustible phb and without getting the lca relocation brackets.. also, i didnt grind down the bump stops, but i havent noticed any vibrations/rubbing back there when driving. would i notice if the bump stops were rubbing?

You already posted a similar question on this forum a few days ago. You got 7 responses. Why didn't you just "continue" on that thread, so people would know what you have already found out?

There's a "Wheels and Tires" forum, and a "Suspension....." forum, so both of those would have been a better choice.

The bump stop brackets are only a problem when you go to jack the car. As the axle drops, the bump stop bracket catches the inside edge of the rim, and can damage it.

The panhard rod centers the body over the rear axle. I had my car lowered with Pro-Kits, and when I measured the clearance between the tires and the suspension on both sides, they were still equal. Youy could check those measurements to see if you even have a problem.

If the body is off center enough to cause rubbing, the fender lip may scuff the sidewall of the tire on one side, and the inside edge of the tire may rub on the inner fender liner on the other side of the car. Both of those should provide visible evidence of rubbing. If you do have rubbing, driving it that way for an extended period could seriously damage the sidewalls of the tires.

What is the offset on your 17x11 wheels? What brand/size tires do you have on them? The wrong offset, or one of the really wide 315's like the BFG Drag Radials are the things that are most likely to cause problems.

And finally, I have a writeup on the 17x11 wheel/tire issues on the FAQ stickied to the top of the "Wheels and Tire" fourm.... so let's move the thread there.

sorry, i didnt realize i had a simliar question posted. and they tires are 315 nitto DR's, and for some reason the 17x11's dont show the offset , but i bought them off of a guy that had had them on his formula.
thanks for the reply, sorry for reposting, i've just herad some people say that i HAD to get a adj phb, and some say that i didnt, everything seems ok so far, but some guy told me if i drive like this im going to bend my input shaft? , got me a little scared

Nitto DRs are the skinniest 315 so unless your rear end is way out of whack I wouldn't worry too much.

I ruined a pair of Nitto DR's with that kinda thinking^^^

Depending on the offset, you will need to bang the inner fenderwells,
or roll the lips of your quarters.

You may have seen my ripped up tires back in the day # the SAFBA meets.

These cars are ALL different, due to the chassis flex, and every other variable.

Read Injuneer's sticky cause it's got everything you possibly need to know
