I have a problem with my nuts

My lug nuts that is you sicko's for all of you that though different, get your mind out of the gutter ok so i cant get the wheel locks off and i dont have the key, i wasted money on these sockets that are susposed to take them off, they didnt work they're just on too tight, tried to hammer them off with a chisel/punch but once again too tight and just destroy the punches and chisels. and my only other option is to use the torches but that's gonna take the paint off the wheel, so does anyone have a brilliant idea's??? any kind of feedback would help, cuz i kinda need to do the brakes cuz if not things could get messy

Re: I have a problem with my nuts

what brand locks are they? i ask this because i can then recommend a good sized impact socket to hammer onto it and 'break' them off, like we do at work

Re: I have a problem with my nuts

......I got a socket that didn't fit right, just hammered it on {forced it, so it was stuck to the locking lug nut} and they came right off. I got the idea off this web site.... Bill...

ps, Oh yeah, catch-y title

Re: I have a problem with my nuts

Well, for the front, you can squirm around, take off the caliper, pull the dust cover off the hub, and remove your rotor, then grind off the stud from the back. For the rear if you have discs, pull off the caliper, then remove the diff. cover, remove axle c-clips and remove axle, drums the same way, just 1 less step (caliper) Now this is obviously a last resort solution, but if nothing else works... Plus, keeping in mind that you may have this process to look forward to, it may speed up your motivation to find a solution

He's done this before.... Best advise would be to leave it to someone who does it on a daily basis, the odds of smacking a hammer against the face of the wheel are a little too high for comfort.

Maybe you can go to the local dealer and they could hook you up?

Re: I have a problem with my nuts

I ditched all 4 of my key lugs off and switched them for standard lugs. cost like $9 overall.

Re: I have a problem with my nuts

I did the same thing.

Take a socket and hammer in on the lock. That's it.
