How tall are BFG DR's?
I was thinking about getting DR's. I currently have a 26.1" tall tire on the front (Kumho 235/55/16). I was thinking about getting Nitto 555R (245/50/16) tires for the rear that are 24.5" tall according to Tire Rack's website. I was wondering how tall the BFG Comp T/A (245/50/16) tires are. Also, do you guys think my car will look funny with a 26.1" tire in front and 24.5" tire in back? I'm thinking it will be bearable, but I just wanted to make sure before I went out and did something stupid.

There are sometimes slight variances in how different manufacturers measure their tires. A 245/50/16 tire from one manufacturer may be slightly larger or smaller than the same size tire from another manufacturer which will affect the overall diameter of the tires. It's not something to be concerned about as the effect on gearing, suspension clearance etc is very minimal.
As an example I recently bought new tires as my 275/40/17 B/stone S-02's were pretty well shot after 8 years on the car. I replaced them with Yoko ES-100's in the same size. When I went to the tire store to get the tires mounted I saw the tires waiting to go on my car and was amazed at how wide they were even though they are the same size.
The tire guy dismounted one of my old tires and I lined it up with one of the new Yoko's and I could clearly see the difference in width of the tread area. When one of the new tires were mounted up the sidewall of the tire has a slight protrusion from the rim face whereas with the old tires the sidewall pretty well went straight up to the tread area from the edge of the rim. Basically even though the yoko's were the same size tire as my b/stone's they are a little bit larger.
Generally, from my experience Michelin tires are usually slightly larger than listed, BFG's are a bit smaller whereas B/stone is usually dead on.

Odd.... I didn't think Tire Rack sold Nittos, and BFG doesn't sell a 245/50-16 DR??
From Tire Rack:
BFG 255/50-16 Comp T/A Drag Radial:
*7.0 -9.0" rim width
*10.3" section width on an 8" rim
*9.7" tread width
*26.1" overall diameter
From the Nitto website:
Nitto 245/50-16 555R Drag Radial:
*7.0 - 8.5" rim width
*9.80" section width on a 7.5" rim
*25.67" overall diameter
