Z06 Wheel question.

Not the normal Z06 wheel question though.
How much do the GM z06 wheels weigh, without tires. I know they are light as crap, and corect me if im wrong are made of maginisum. Guess i would need to know the weight for both the 17's and 18's. Just trying to get a figgure to compare none GM Z06 wheels too. Thanks in advance!!

GM made an optional "magnesium" wheel for the C5, and it was used as standard equipment on the "export" models, but I have never heard of the OEM Z06 wheels being magnesium. The Z06 wheel/tire combo saved 23# (total for 4 wheels) over the regular wheels, because the used the GY Supercar F1 tires, which are much lighter, and not of a "run-flat" design.

maybe thats what i read and got it mixed up. I do remeber they saving a lot of weight over the regular C5 wheels. That weight savings is what im after, the fact that they look good on a 4th gen is just icing on the cake. But i would rather pay alittle more and get the genuine GM light as crap wheel then a heavier aftermarket that may be a little cheeper. Thanks!
