Help with 10.5 or 11" TTII's on Camaro.

I'm deciding between 17" C6 Z06's and Torque Thrusts for my 95 Z. If I go with 17" Torque Thrusts on my Camaro, I want them wide in the back. The TTM's are 10.5 for the back and TTII's are 11, but the TTII's are polished. Would I need to make any modifications to fit either of these wheels in the back? I don't want to modify anything I just want to bolt them on. I might get C6's if the Torque Thrusts are a problem. I also want to keep my stock wheel diameter and I can only get 315/35-R17's for the back? Why dont they make 40's so I can keep my stock diameter? Any help would be awesome because I need to get wheels soon! Thanks.

What is the offset of the 17x11.0 TTII's? I think its 45mm. That means the inside edge of the tire will be about 1/5th of an inch (0.20") farther away from the inside fender liner than the ZR1/GS setup pictured in the FAQ. And the outside edge of the tire will stick 1/5th of an inch further out toward the outer edge of the fender. Probably not noticable. Less problems on the inner fender, maybe a slightly greater chance of fender lip rubbing. Depends on the actual section width of the tire you choose.

I'm sure you meant to you are trying to match the stock tire diameter, not the wheel diameter. What tires did your 95 leave the factory with:

Base V8: 235/55-16 = 26.1"
Optional Z-rated: 245/50-16 = 25.7"

A 315/35-17 is a perfect match for the 245/50-16 diameter. So is a 275/40-17. IF your car has the 235/55's, what advantage do you feel you would gain by exactly matching their 26.1" diameter?

I don't want to set my speedo off, but that little of a difference shouldn't matter. Right? So a 275/40-R17 is same diameter as 315/35-R17?

Yes. 245/50-16, 275/40-17 and 315/35-17 are all the same outside diameter.
