firestone firehawk indy 500s.. any good?
hey guys, my 95 3.4L camaro with salad shooters are in need of some new rubber.. I'm really thinking about buying the firestone firehawk indy 500s.. 245/50/16's.. all the reviews on tirerack for them are awesome, #1 in their class and not the most expensive tires out there. Anyone out their have them? What do you think of them?

You can do 245/50R16 on the 16x8 salad shooters. I had some Firehawk SZ50s on my salad shooters. From the factory, some of the salad shooters had 235/55R16s on them.

Not that you can't fit them, just the speed rating with standard Camaro was 108 MPH vs. 160 with the Z28 perf option.
P.S.// Take a look at the FUZION ZRi,much better in the rain[it blows the SZ50 away]!!

yea the 235/55's are the standard tire they put on the salad shooters.. the 245/50 are optional equipment tire for them... I bought my salad shooters used with sumitomo htr+'s in 245/50's but the tires wore away too fast..i'm tryin to find a good cheap all season tire... oh yea would the optional equipment tires by anychance mess with my speedo? Only reason I ask this is because since i've put them on, whenever i go past a 'Your Speed Is:xx' thing it only reads im going 27-28mph when my speedo says im going about 30-31mph.. And it's not the same Your Speed is:xx sign I go past all the time, even the one at my college does it.
