Drag Radials on Gravel

I've got a quick question. I just bought some new rims/tires. The rims are 17x9.5 Cragar SS and the tires are Kuhmo on front and BF Goodrich Drag Radials on the back.

My question is my driveway is gravel, will the gravel hurt the Drag radials? I know they have a soft compound and I dont really want to ruin $300 in tires.

Thanks

I don't think it will hurt them, I have nittos on the back of my car, and they pick up every little bit of sand and rocks no matter where I go, and they seem to be okay.

Probably do more damage to the paint when the stones come flying off the tires at speed.

I run 315/35-17 BFG Drag Radials on the street, and I HATE going through sand or gravel. You will not believe how much crap the sticky tires will pick up. I've had even worse problems when I've driven my QTP's of ET Drags on the street. The quarter panels take a beating.

That is what I was kind of afraid of, but mud flaps are ugly so I guess I might just have to repaint it sometime in the future.....

dont know bout camaros but someone sells some magnetic pieces that stick to the lower panels for Turbo Regals to keep chips away. on a black Grand National the black pieces are barely noticable. i run drag radials on the Grand National and they do throw alot of stuff up. i've thought of getting these magnetic strips but dont drive the car alot in gravel.

That does seem like a good idea...but the only problem on Camaro's, are they have a plastic bumper. So nothing will stick, unless it is some kind of glue/tape... I always knew I should have gotten a GN or a Turbo Regal
