These wheels should fit 4th gen camaros but I read in some other post that some wheels don't fit convertibles. Anyone know if these will fit a rag top:

Also, what is the difference in convertibles so that they don't clear some wheels that hardtops do? First post so thanks in advance.

 

From what I've read, there is NO difference, convertable vs. coupe vs. T-top as far as fitting wheels goes. For some reason, though, a lot of wheel manufacturers seem to think that there is a difference!

As best we can tell, its GM's fault. They put 16" wheels on the SS and WS6 convertibles, and 17" on the coupes. Apparently they were worried about ride quality. I've done 17x11's on both a 97 SS convert and on my own 94 Formula coupe, and could not find any difference in the dimensions of the wheel wells. The 'vert did appear to have more reinforcing behind the inner fender panels, when hammering them for clearance.

Somebody told my GM went to 17" wheels on the SS 'verts in the later years, but I've never confirmed that.
