can i fit 335/30/18 in the back???

ok i just picked up a set of gunmetal z06 wheels (real gm wheels off of a z06; 17x9.5 and 18x10.5). im in the process of buying a set of hoosier 335/30/18 dr's for the back. i know this is pushing it. im not worried about fitting them on the wheels. im worried about fitting them in the fenderwells. the outer part of the fenders are alrady cut out. my car is 1" lower in the back. what do you think? what will i have to do with the inside of the fender and are they still gonna stick out and get cut by the outer fender?

Need to know the offset to tell you anything, but thats pretty big. Im sure you will need to massage the inner fender wells, and they will still stick out past the fenders. Probably need an adjustable panhard bar too if you dont already have one.

I can't find the specs for a Hoosier 335/30-18 (not on their website), but I would expect they would require a wheel width in the range of 11.5-12.5", with a 12.0" "measured" wheel width. That's what Nitto recommends for their 335/30-18. I wouldn't disregard the manufacturer's recommendations on a tire with such a thin sidewall. On the Hoosier 335/30-18 Sports Car DOT Radial, they recommend at least a 12" wheel width.

Offset of the stock 18x10.5 C5 Z06 wheel is 58mm. That puts the inside edge of the wheel right where the 17x11 50mm wheels sit, and that typically requires hammering and jounce bumper bracket cutting with the 315's. Using a 335 will only make it harder to fit them in there, with increased rubbing on the inner fender liner. The outside sidewall will definitely be exposed to the horizontal fender lip, which will need to be rolled.

Do you have a link to the dimensions of the Hoosier?

There are people who have run 335's on the 17x11 wheels on a 4th Gen, so it can be done. Search on the screen name "kmook".... I know he ran 335's for a while.

"measured rim with" is measuring from the outside of both sides of the wheel right? these z06 wheels measure 11.5" but they also say rec. rim width is 12-13". when i had my 275/40/18 on my 8.5" wheels, they recommended 9-11" wheels with a meas. rim width of 9.5"
any other thoughts on this?
the price i was gonna buy these for is $370 for both - brand new

No. "Measured rim width" it the bead seat width of the rim they put the tire on to take the measurements for section width, tread width and outside diameter. Using a narrower rim reduces the section width, rolls the tread over to reduce its width, and may affect rolling diameter.

these z06 wheels measure 11.5"
You don't measure them "outside".... if they are 10.5" wide wheels, the tire bead seating width is 10.5".

but they also say rec. rim width is 12-13".
= recommended bead seat width, meaning your 10.5" wide wheels are at least 1.5" too narrow.

when i had my 275/40/18 on my 8.5" wheels, they recommended 9-11" wheels with a meas. rim width of 9.5"
any other thoughts on this?
You had a too wide tire on a too narrow rim, but only by 1/2".

they seemed like they worked fine when i had them on and i liked the way they looked. so given that i'd be putting a tire on a wheel that should be bigger, can i still do it? i think the big thing is if i can get them to fit in the well too.

ok heres a few pics of the rear (18x10.5 with the hooser 335/30/18 tires). it didnt take much to get them in. my fenders were already cut on the outer lip. i had to hammer in a couple spots (not much though) and the tires cleared my stock LCA's by about 1/4". I took the bumpstops off for now just to bolt them up but it looks like i can just do some grinding and make room and still be able to have them on (not 100% sure yet). anyway here's a few pictures that i took when putting them on. i had 265/40/18 bfg's on the jag wheels btw.
