Black ZR-1 center caps?
Black ZR-1 center caps?
When I get my black ZR-1's, I don't want the Corvette center cap. Can I ditch the center cap and get a black one that will fit, and put the Phoenix on it? Where do they sell these?
Re: Black ZR-1 center caps?

Re: Black ZR-1 center caps?
Thanks, Predatorbird
I have those same black ZR1 wheels
What you can do is remove the adhesive "flags" of the ZR1 logo from the centercaps. This will leave a slightly indented black "ring" in the centercaps. Then what you can do is get a black vinyl disk with the bird on it. Now, under certain lighting conditions you may slightly see the indent through the vinyl. The vinyl I use is the high quality stuff which is thin. The cheap stuff is a little thicker but I don't use that stuff
Doing this will be by far the easiest and least expensive. Your other option is to buy blank silver centercaps from SLP (no ring in these) and then have them painted and clear coated locally by a pro painter. At this point, all you'll need are the birds to put on your blank black centercaps. But, that'll be considerably more expensive and time consuming.
