Beauty or Never???

I was really attracted of the designed pattern of SS '02 wheel rim which is 17" and I am planning to replace my Z28 '00 16" .. not for additional appearance but for "new look" .

I heard that to do this, spacer or circular insert is required to avoid break-drum or my disc plate touches the inner wall of a SS 17" rim. This insert or spacer is to be located in between spoke and back of drum. Any comments or statements to this?

Regards

You don't have four wheel disc brakes?? IMO I would upgrade to four wheel disc brakes first because the drum brakes will REALLY show with the 10 spokes on them. Good luck to ya.

I thought all 4th gen Z28s had 4-wheel discs.. I know at least some of the V6's have drums in the back.

Dear Gents,
I do have four disc brakes !!! (IT'S NOT OPTIONAL)...thanks to you. The things that bother me most are the following: Do I need special spacer or insert to be placed in between the rim and the disc plate? Is the inner wall of the rim 17" would not touch by this plate. Should there be friction between the two, it means problem.
And should there be spacer or insert needed, any idea how thick it should be to separate them from touching? Thats what I heard about this? Would you tell me the veracity and truth about this?

thanx in advance

The reason everyone was mentioning about 4-Wheel disc brakes is because there is no such thing as a drum with disc brakes. :blah:

The wheels will fit fine - you do not need any spacers, etc.
Any '93+ Camaro wheels will fit without problem. THE ONLY thing that may be a problem ever is the center of the hub being larger on '93-'97 models - thus having to grind down the edge of '98+ wheels for them to fit - but from '98+ any wheel will fit without any problems.
