Question 30th Ann. Trans Am Wheels

Just wondering if anyone knew anything about these, such as how they were made (polish and blue clear coat???), these wheels always struck me as being really unique and great looking. All I've found so far is that they're "tinted", which doesn't give me any clue as to whether it's something that anyone could do with paint or a special process.

Re: 30th Ann. Trans Am Wheels

Its a highly polished wheel, with a tinted, transparent clear-coat. I've seen some examples that have a "tint" that is not very uniform. When GM brought these out, they were supposed to be new technolgy, but I don't think they ever used the technique again.
