305/45/18 on 18x10.5 in rear?
Re: 305/45/18 on 18x10.5 in rear?
you might run into some rubbing issues seeing that the overall diameter of that tire is about 2 inches more than stock
what size are your front wheels? 825 isnt much to work with if you are gonna get tires to fit the 10.5 wheel
give your local America's Tire Co. a call this week, let them know your wheel sizes and price range, and they'll hook ya up with what fits your budget

Re: 305/45/18 on 18x10.5 in rear?
The 305/45-18 is 28.8" diameter, a full 3.2" larger than stock.... it would give your car a nice "off-roader" 4WD look, and will only take about $1,500 worth of body work to can-opener the wheel openings and tub the wheel wells. They will make your stock 3.42 gears pull like 3.04's (if there was such a ratio.).
A 295/45-18 is 28.3". You DO NOT want 28.3" tires on your car. A) they will not fit; B) they will make your 3.42 gears feel like 3.10's. I ran 28" Hoosier QTP slicks, and they grew enough at 125+MPH trap speeds that I had to move the axle back 1/4" so they wouldn't hit the front, metal edge of the wheel opening. Now I have 28" ET Drags, and I've had to take 1.5" off the leading edge of the bumper cover, and hammer back the sheet metal underneath the cover. Not sure why anyone would want 28" tires on the street.... unless you're really into the "drag racer" look... (and have the mods to back it up
)
You should be looking at sizes like 305/35 or 285/35.
