28'' or 30''

Which do you like better? Would it be hard to get a 30'' to fit?

Are you talking about the latest 30" wheels for an SUV? The tires are over $2,000 each.

its going to take alot of work. Not sure if a mini tub would give you what you need but I know you need to cut a wedge in front of the wheel and out of the bumper and weld the front back up and epopxy the bumper......

I don't have much exp. with the mini tubs that are out now.....I know wolfe had some people running a 31" I think but don't hold me to it.

Probly call thunder and check with madman I'm sure he knows for sure

30"x9 wouldn't be hard to fit, but how much power are you honestly making that you need such an extreme tall tire? I'm running 28x10.50 ET drags with no issues whatsoever

I do not see why anyone would put 30'' rims on a Camaro. It would look stupid to me, but everyone has their own style.

Here's a V6 Firebird with 28.8" tires.

I don't think you can go any larger than that, and still fit them in the wheel wells. A buddy of mine put 29.5" slicks on his 97 SS convertible, and it took major bodywork modifications to the wheel tubs, the quarter panels and the rear bumper cover. Of course, he was making 1,350HP.... so huge tires made sense.

Running a 30" tire, compared to a stock 25.65" tire, would make a set of 3.73 gears feel weaker than a set of 3.23's. The back of the car will sit more than 2" higher than stock.

Look for stock eliminator cars....they all run a 30x9 slick

With a 4.56 and 28"...switching to a 30 and a 4.88 you will gain MPH, you wouldn't think so and it doesen't work out on paper but it works on the track

The top stock eliminator cars can have up to $30K in the suspension, and heavy body mods (subtle enough to still be considered "stock").
