275/60/15
I have a 93 Camaro that's sitting on 10" (width) slicks which I believe are 28"?. Sitting on 15 Weld racing rims btw.
What size et streets would give me the closest look to that? I really love the huge sidewall and how it pokes just a tad from the fenders.
I read that 275/60/15 will work, but honestly a camaro has stock 55 sidewall.. So not that much of a difference.
It's a street race car so I really want that aggressive look.
I believe the rims are 8" but could be mistaken..
Also, I hear some what seems like grinding every rotation of the tire when driven. Idk the backspacing on these because I got them used. Is there anyway to tell via the rim itself?

What is the model of the tire on the car (QTP?), and what "ET Street" are you looking at - the ET Street DOT tire, or the ET Street Drag Radial? The Hoosier's should have a size on them, like 28x11.5-15LT
The sidewall of your stock tire may be "55", but that is only part of the spec that determines the height of the sidewall. You need to multiply the section width of the tire in inches by the aspect ratio over 100.
(275/25.4) * (60/100) = 6.50" sidewall
(255/25.4) * (55p/100) = 5.52" sidewall
A 235/55-16 is a 26" tire, a 275/60-15 is a 28" tire.
If you are looking at the ET Street Drag Radial you should be OK. I ran 28" QTP's on my Formula, and the only time I had a problem was when the tires grew at 120 MPH trap speeds. A radial tire does not grow like that.
If the tire is outside the fender, the wheel may not have enough backspace. My 28's were directly inside the edge of the fender, when looking straight down from above. That was a 10" wide wheel with a 7.5" backspace.
