225/60/16 alright for stock 1996 TA wheels?

Thinking about buying these for my firebird formula.

Not looking for super things, just want to make sure they will be safe to drive on and definitely better than my old worn out CAMARO wheels which are currently on there.

i have 2 225/60/16's on my fronts on my spare salad shooters. drove fine on them.

My Z came with 235/55-16 stock- so they are close- not sure how much your speedo will be off-

That's a narrow tire, and at 26.6" is larger in diameter than the stockers (Base Formula: 235/55-16 - 26.1"; Optional: 245/50-16 = 25.7"). Speedo will read low by 1.7 - 3.8%, depending which size tires you car had originally. Same size used on the V6 4th Gens.

It would be "safe", in the sense that most manufacturers recommend a 6" - 8" wide wheel for a 225/60-16, and the stockers are 8" wide. A 225/55-16 would be a better match for the diameter, assuming your car came with the optional Z-rated tires.
