20's or not
20's or not
i got a 94 z28 with t's i am looking for a good wheel combo.. i like the 20in iroc rim but dont kmow how it would ride and or handle ie rubbing i also like some 18s and 19s i saw but every pic i sceen the car has been lowered and i dont want to lower the car so are 20s the best bet to fill the wheel well any advice would be greatly considered
If you choose the wheels with the correct offset, and put the right size tires on them, nothing will rub.
That said, 20's are strictly for "show"", not for go. The thin sidewall will severely limit straight line traction, and the combination of a solid rear axle, and the low compliance provided by the thin sidewall will severly hamper cornering capabilities. 20's work fine with an independant rear suspension (IRS) like the Corvette and the 5th Gen Camaro, because the suspension provides the compliance, not the tires.
Additionally, if you choose the tires correctly, matching as closely as possible the stock tire diameter, you won't close up the tire/fender gap very much. Put an excessivley large diameter tire on it, and it will close up the gap, but its going to look like an SUV, not a sports car.
