18" Y2K's with 275/40 all around
Hello all
i'm running the 17'th on the front now with 255/45 and they are way out of lines.
i'm planning to put the 18th on the front with 275/40 on them.
will i have any problems fitting them and will i need the spacers to avoid scratching.
the car is 94z with the stock springs
thanks
alex

The 275/40-18 is a 26.7" tire, making it one inch larger than the stock tires (if your car came with the Z-rated 245/50-16's). You will need your speedo corrected. Why wouldn't you use a 275/35-18 or a 285/35-18, both of which would be a better diameter match?

I don't mind the speedometer a bit off.
my main consern if the tires will be rubbing against the wells.
the reason i'm asking is I'm getting 2 original GM 18 with the good rubber to match my back once for close to nothing. Since iv'e changed my 18th already i know the cost of the rubber and thinking to try push the avialable once in if i can do it with the spacers or without.
